About 3R Gun Shop
3R Gun Shop is a third-generation family owned business built on hard work, honest service, and a lifelong respect for firearms, hunting, and the people who use them. What started with one man’s passion turned into a family tradition that’s been going strong for decades.
The business was founded by Richard Cekovich, who built the shop on the idea that customers should always be treated with respect and given straight answers. He passed that mindset on to his two sons, Ron and Rick Cekovich, who grew up around the business and learned early on that knowledge and good service matter just as much as what’s behind the counter.
The Mechanicsburg store, which first opened in 1978, became the foundation of the business and has been serving the local community ever since. Years later, Ron opened the Hagerstown store, continuing the family tradition and bringing the same approach to customers in Maryland. Today, Ron runs the Hagerstown location, keeping the shop true to the way it’s always been done.
Now the third generation is part of the business as well.
Jamie Cekovich, Richard’s grandson, currently runs the Mechanicsburg store, carrying on the same values the shop was built on, treat people right, know what you’re talking about, and never forget that customers are trusting you with something important.
We’ve never tried to be the biggest shop around, but we’ve always tried to be one of the most trusted. Whether you’re buying your first firearm, looking for something specific, or just stopping in to ask questions, our goal is the same as it’s always been:
Friendly, knowledgeable service without the attitude.
Being part of the local community has always mattered to us. Most of our customers aren’t just customers, they’re neighbors, friends, hunters, shooters, and families we’ve known for years. That’s one of the reasons we take pride in doing things the right way and making sure people leave the shop feeling comfortable and confident.
Three generations later, the business is still family-owned, still family-run, and still built on the same idea it started with:
Take care of the customer, and the rest will take care of itself.
